This post, written by Elder Prince, falls under the micro-update category.
It offers a glimpse into the work happening between major reveals—technical steps that, while less exciting, are essential to making real progress. Just long hours and geeky stuff behind the curtain!
Someone mentioned those two topics on Itch.Io.
Hi and thanks for the game, I got it for free, but I noticed that this is version 1.03 and not version 1.05 that I once played many years ago (wow how time flies!) What is the difference between the free version 1.03 and the old commercial version 1.05?Finally, I would like to know if there is a way to get that 1.05 version of the game.
By the way, Eternal Eden is a great RPG for its time and both the design and the engine (RPG Maker XP/VX) on which it was created fascinated me as much as its great story. I’m thinking of buying this new version (Mandela Edition – Master Bundle DLC) as the game is simply enchanted me and, I would like to support and promote your talent and work. Thank you very much and Have a great day! :)
I hope my reply can be useful to other followers as well:
Version 1.05 included Digital Rights Management (DRM), but back in 2009 I decided to revert back to a DRM-free version, which was 1.03. The only downside is that some gameplay and spelling bugs that were fixed in 1.05 have returned in 1.03…
No need to purchase the Mandela Edition DLC, as the release date is still uncertain. In fact, I might just focus on the Reboot Edition instead and integrate all the planned Mandela Edition features into it. The original goal for Mandela Edition was to release something during my financial crisis (which didn’t happen due to the severity of it), but now that my budget is in a much better place than in past years, it might be best for everyone if I put my energy into building the real deal over the coming months.
All I need for this to happen is for my budget to stay stable, though some small challenges remain despite having cleared the biggest obstacles.
