The following blog post acts like a dev journal and also carries the personal thoughts of Elder Prince, founder of Blossomsoft Games.

While juggling food deliveries, I managed to finish writing another 10,000-word short story.
The story is set in a mall and revolves around a peculiar relic discovered in a store called Ra’s Antiquities Emporium. Oddly enough, the store owners disappeared mysteriously after the grand opening.
It falls into the mystery sci-fi genre, reminiscent of something you might find in an episode of ‘The Twilight Zone.’
I just need to do one final round of revisions to ensure I haven’t overlooked anything. Haven’t gotten around to the book cover yet. Thinking of naming it “Pandora’s Box” for now.
Aiming to produce more of them throughout 2024.
Unlike video games, writing stories tends to be more predictable in terms of release schedules. Once I embark on a writing project, its timeline is typically on track. So, alongside coding up games, I’m gonna be cranking out all sort of tales too. Gotta diversify the hustle, right?
Think I might need to rally up some bookworm buddies outside of my gaming community to follow my writing projects. Making some extra cash selling my short stories and novels could help me bankroll my game projects.
I’m thinking about branching out into different genres for my writing—maybe dip my toes into drama, adventure, detective, and who knows what else!
Looking For A New Pseudonym
I’m having doubts about sticking with the ‘Elder Prince’ pseudonym as a writer. While I’ve used it for twenty-five years, it was never meant to be an official choice. I might consider finding a new one that could better promote my books to a wider audience.
Eternal Eden XI
I’ve been brainstorming a ton of awesome ideas for books set in the Eternal Eden XI universe. I’m thinking of mixing it up with short stories, chronicles, and full-on novels. This plan should keep things interesting over the next few years while I’m knee-deep in game development. I’ll make sure to get the official process started as soon as I can. In point of fact, I decided to take a shot at writing chapter one, and I’m pleased with the outcome thus far.
Remember
Keep in mind, the reason I’m taking on these writing projects is because I have plenty of downtime during my food delivery shifts. It’s my main source of income for now, which is getting worse with every paycheck, so I’m resolved to squeezing every bit of productivity out of my time.
