Last Week Was Great; But Forced Game Dev Pause

This post, written by Elder Prince, falls under the micro-update category.

It offers a glimpse into the work happening between major reveals—technical steps that, while less exciting, are essential to making real progress. Just long hours and geeky stuff behind the curtain!

I’m totally satisfied with last week’s progress. It was amazing!

However, to make it happen, I had to take at least two weeks off from food deliveries to focus on game dev. Now, for the next five days or so, I’ll need to shift gears and do deliveries almost full-time to gather some funds. A delivery friend told me last week was terrible for earnings, so I’m really glad I used that time for game dev instead.

That said, I expect this week to be a bit of a grind; tons of non-tipping customers (which I decline) and UberEats and DoorDash sending ridiculous $3 offers for 25-mile trips (also a hard pass). I’ll probably spend a lot of time studying in my car.

Not complaining, though!

I just want to mention these game dev pauses because they temporarily pull me away from development and create small gaps between milestones. If things don’t move as fast as I’d like, it’s not because I’m being lazy or procrastinating—it’s just life obligations getting in the way. I just hope no one compares me to those crowdfunded projects that raised a million dollars in cash!

That said, there’s been major progress this year. 2025 has me so happy to be back in the game. Last week, I hit a huge milestone with my music engine, and I’m really proud of that. Hopefully, I can still tackle more game dev tasks in the last ten days of March. Originally, I planned to finish another milestone, but with several days lost to gig work, I’ll have to adjust.

In the meantime, I’m also keeping an eye on utility-related crypto. For example, yesterday, the SEC officially dropped its case against Ripple’s XRP—that’s half the battle won! Next, we need proper regulations for it to be adopted worldwide and really take off. There are even rumors that it could replace banks—which, honestly, I believe will happen.

Maybe then I’ll never have to do food deliveries again.

Fingers crossed!
