This post, written by Elder Prince, falls under the micro-update category.
It offers a glimpse into the work happening between major reveals—technical steps that, while less exciting, are essential to making real progress. Just long hours and geeky stuff behind the curtain!
With three days off from food deliveries, I took the opportunity to push forward on my work. Right now, I’m mostly focused on software development, working on various components of my game engine.
This year, I’m especially committed to refining the sound engine, so I can finally showcase more of the Eternal Eden official soundtrack. I refuse to rely on stock resources from RPG Maker, and even though I love using LLM technology (aka A.I.), that’s no excuse to cut corners. I also have zero interest in AI-generated music—I want everything to be handcrafted. That means I’ve got to put in the work and keep improving my tools.
It feels amazing to be back in game dev! 2025 is totally epic so far :D
