What will you be, Mr. 2023?

The following blog post carries the personal thoughts of Elder Prince, founder of Blossomsoft Games.

We have seen the world change drastically before our very eyes since 2020, in ways most of us never imagined. 2021 and 2022 felt like being in a crazy roller coaster from hell, never knowing when the speeding train will suddenly be derailed to make a leap in outer darkness. I was no longer sure whether it was still worthy to maintain any sort of projects, feeling that everything could collapse to be replaced by a terrible dystopia. Even now, it’s hard to determine how 2023 will pan out. It’s one reason among others I stayed away of social media and blogging. Those events have caused me much soul-searching.

That being said, it’s of no use at all to be doom and gloom about the fated events we can’t change. It sucks what’s happening around the world but I’ve decided it’s best to remain cheerful and hopeful. After all, there are still many other things that are being so pleasant in this world. From the gaming perspective, I’m so looking forward to get my hands on the upcoming release of the Playstation VR 2, for instance. I really think this newest generation will reshape the way we played games in the past, in a positive way.

All in all, I’ll do my upmost to make a comeback writing blog posts about my personal journey while publishing new updates. As I wrote in my disclaimer, we never know what obstacles life is going to throw at us, so I can’t guarantee any achievements in these times of incertitude and disruption. Let’s pray 2023 will be a wonderful year for everyone, surely then it’s safe to say a new Eternal Eden game will be released after all those long years.

Hey, dear old readers! Are you still around? Please drop a comment and say ‘hi’, I’m so eager to hear from you again :)

  1. Great to see you back blogging! I totally agree with you that it’s important to stay hopeful in these uncertain times. I’m also looking forward to the release of the PSVR 2. Let’s hope 2023 will be a better year for everyone.

  2. Hey Elder! Glad to see you’re hanging in there! The last few years have been insane to say the least. One of the things that helped me get through the lockdowns, general unpredictability, instability, and loss was playing good games, including Eternal Eden.
I’m another one who has re-played Eternal Eden multiple times. I’m not sure how many times I’ve actually played through it, but it’s certainly at least 10… I enjoy good re-runs lol.

    1. It’s always great to hear from you again, Deanna :) If you are planning to replay Eternal Eden (2008 version) again during the holidays, then watch the countdown at the top of the website for a gift to celebrate the old game.

Hello Elder Prince. I’m glad that you are back and have survived the latest version of the Dark Ages! I’ve been trying to keep track of your exploits and progress over the last couple of years but, as you’ve said, there hasn’t been much to see. I hope that you were able to keep track of us who have prepaid for the next edition of Eternal Eden. I have played #1 probably 5 times and I’m really looking forward to #2. Stay safe and know that we have not forgotten you!

    1. I’m glad to see your name again, Robert. I remember you wrote a review for my ebook as well (Timeloop | A Dark Time Travel Tale: Project Dechentreiter on Amazon). I still have all the backer spreadsheets from Indiegogo and Paypal safely stored. Wow, you for sure loved Eternal Eden for playing it five times.
