Blossomsoft is pleased to announce that fans of Eternal Eden now have a new way to revisit the world of the original game through an independently developed fan remake by indie developer WathitdewRecord.
Eternal Eden™ Resurgence is now available on Steam, itch.io, and Game Jolt, with support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Rediscover the world of Eternal Eden through this enhanced 3D remake!
A Nintendo Switch release is also planned for the future.
A longtime fan of Eternal Eden, Benoit Clément from WathitdewRecord, approached Blossomsoft with the idea of recreating the 2008 classic using Smile Game Builder. Impressed by the passion and dedication behind the project, Blossomsoft granted WathitdewRecord permission to develop and release the remake under license.
The remake aims to preserve the identity of Eternal Eden, remaining faithful to its original story, characters, and atmosphere while presenting the adventure through a new visual style. The approach is somewhat reminiscent of the transition from Final Fantasy III or Dragon Quest V on the NES to its Nintendo DS remake: a familiar journey experienced through a different presentation, moving from traditional tile-based 2D graphics to a grid-based 3D world.
While the project has been officially authorized by Blossomsoft, the remake has been developed independently by WathitdewRecord. All development decisions, implementation, testing, updates, technical support, and overall quality of the remake are handled by its developer. Blossomsoft is therefore not responsible for technical issues, compatibility problems, or other matters related to this version.
Blossomsoft hopes that longtime fans and newcomers alike will enjoy this fresh take on Eternal Eden and extends its sincere thanks to WathitdewRecord for the passion, time, and dedication invested in bringing the project to life.
P.S. For those who ever wished they could save certain characters who met an unfortunate fate in the original game… this time around, there may be a few secrets worth uncovering.
