Still Summer, Still Sweating

This is our third brutal heat wave since summer kicked off. The thermometer said 32-36°C most days of the week, and with the humidity (and zero wind), it felt more like 40°C; at least according to the official weather site.

I’m not sold on the whole global warming narrative, though. In the provinces next door, the government’s rolling out these odd, draconian lockdowns. Some folks got slapped with fines of over $28K just for walking in the woods or going fishing. Canada have become a crazy country to live in…

We had hot summer days like this when I was a kid, and my grandmother used to tell me about scorching summers back in her time too. Summer is, well, summer. Still, it’s a harsh period of the year for anyone who doesn’t have the means to keep cool.

Next year, I’m hoping to have the budget for at least two more AC units. That should solve my problem once and for all.

For now, I’m just finding small ways to keep my projects and studies moving forward, even if the heat fries my brain for anything deeper.

I really hope September brings cooler air instead of more heat waves.
