This post, written by Elder Prince, falls under my behind-the-scenes micro-updates—it’s here to keep you in the loop between major releases.
I’m still doing food deliveries, but this time, unlike before, most of the money actually goes straight into my pocket. That makes it way easier to plan for game dev expenses.
For instance, I need to start thinking about getting a proper PC. I’ve been using laptops for the past decade, but now I really want a solid tower with enough power to handle heavy 3D software and run game engines smoothly. I’m aiming for a build that’ll cost me over 5K CAD; if my finances stay on track, I could get it done toward the end of the year.
Another expense that just came to mind — I need a premium+ membership on X (formerly Twitter). I actually trust their engagement boosts to be legit, and the yearly plan is CA$343.78. Might need to slowly roll out a PR campaign once I get that set up.
Food deliveries are still part of the routine, but at least now it’s more of a part-time thing.
