This post, written by Elder Prince, falls under my behind-the-scenes micro-updates—it’s here to keep you in the loop between major releases.
Today, I finally decided it’s time to upgrade to the latest version of Visual Studio after sticking with the 2019 version for years. Not gonna lie, I’m a bit worried about compatibility issues, even though I’ve strategically avoided NuGet packages and kept things as close to the core dependencies as possible. Well, everything should be fine, I guess.
I also upgraded to Blender 4.3 but still hadn’t the chance to explore it. The last version I used was 2.9, half a decade ago!
Still sticking with Photoshop 6, though, and I have zero plans to jump on their ‘you’ll-own-nothing-but-be-happy’ cloud subscription plan. Might give Krita a shot instead!
It really hits me how long I’ve been away from dev. Feels like waking up from a long coma in a futuristic world, trying to catch up with the latest tech and hoping my old projects aren’t too outdated.
