Eternal Eden Series

The following blog post carries the personal thoughts of Elder Prince, founder of Blossomsoft Games.

Hey folks, quick update!

Still wrestling with some hefty debts, but it’s not as dire as it once was. I’ve emerged from the deep pit of depression that nearly consumed me last month. Big shoutout to my friend from Russia for throwing me a lifeline! He pulled me out of the danger zone. Gonna try to carve out more time for game dev in May, even if it’s just a smidge.

However, during May, my main goal is to setup a platform for passive income streams that can keep churning out money without demanding constant active involvement, unlike the exhausting hustle of food deliveries that’s been eating crazily into my game dev time. When it comes down to it, books have a speed advantage over video games in terms of release time. So, I’m gonna focus on getting some e-books as soon as possible out there to bring in some extra cash on the side.

Of course, I’m also considering Eternal Eden stories, such as EE11 and EE14, and maybe even a novelization of the Eternal Eden Reboot Edition. What do you think? Feels like the only way to keep the game dev dream alive long-term. So, it will be my main priority during May.

Thanks for sticking with me through it all. Just wanted to tell you that I’m dead set on making it all come together. Can’t wait to dive back into Eternal Eden!

I started playing this back in 2010 – but lost the save files somewhere along the way and never completed it. I defintely want to get back in to it now!

    1. I’ve just sent you an email. I hope you’ll be able to complete the game this time :)

Oh man I loved Eternal Eden, I played it on my asus eee pc back in 2008 when I was on vacation. Good memories, hope to be able to play the remaster.

    1. Lindsay, I’m happy to hear from you! It’s always a thrill to know that old followers are coming back or still remember my 2008 game.

The Mandela Edition was almost ready for release. I need to dedicate myself to a full-time schedule for at least a few consecutive weeks to make it happen, but now funds are the major obstacle. Fingers crossed!

I’d be rocking the retro indie game dev world right now if it weren’t for this huge debt hanging over me. Your support means the world. Thanks, legonenen and Erik!

I’m itching for a big comeback, but June looks like it’s going to be a very tough one. It feels like I’m stuck, maybe even going backward, instead of moving forward.

Definitely keeping you in prayer! (I know this is like a month late… But I hope it’s still encouraging)
