Gearing Up for the bookstore

The following blog post carries the personal thoughts of Elder Prince, founder of Blossomsoft Games.

This week, I need to get three ebooks ready for their official release under the spooky pen name M. Daddy Longlegs:

• Dechentreiter Thing
• YogDeli
• Ra’s Can of Worms

Previously, Dechentreiter Thing and YogDeli were published under the Elder Prince pen name, but I never felt comfortable using such an elegant name for dark-themed stories. M. Daddy Longlegs feels like a better fit. Ra’s Can of Worms, on the other hand, has never been published before, so it will be a new story for you to enjoy.

As of now, my tasks include re-reading them to catch any last-minute typos and converting them to various formats (epub, mobi, pdf, doc, txt). I’m working on automating this process to gain more experience for future releases. This part seems easy, but I find it quite time-consuming, especially since marketplaces have specific and sometimes strange conventions for accepting files.

The Blossomsoft store is now split into two sections:

• Blossomsoft Games
• Blossomsoft Books

This week, I need to polish the store section on the website. I might expand to other markets later, but for now, I want to ensure I can manage everything on my site.

Lastly, I need to prepare an ad campaign for the bookstore.

Overall, I want the store section to be ready by June.
